Five businesses run 53% of UK-licensed online casino domains, register count finds
A count of the UK Gambling Commission public register on 20 October 2026 found 138 businesses with an active remote casino licence and 825 active domains between them.
BRISTOL, United Kingdom — 21 October 2026 — Five businesses run 437 of the 825 active website domains held by UK-licensed online casino operators, 53% of the total, according to a count of the UK Gambling Commission public register by BestCasinoPortal (bestcasinoportal.com), a casino and sportsbook review site published by CORDOVA WINS LTD.
The count used the Commission's public register download on 20 October 2026. It found 138 businesses with an active remote casino licence. Between them they list 825 website domains that are not marked inactive, and 332 of those (40%) are registered as white-label domains: sites a licensee runs for another brand under its own licence.
Five licensees, more than half the domains
- Jumpman Gaming Limited (account 39175): 148 domains
- ProgressPlay Limited (account 39335): 115 domains
- Broadway Gaming Ireland DF Limited (account 58267): 88 domains
- Skill On Net Limited (account 39326): 59 domains
- Apollo Entertainment Limited (account 38620): 27 domains
A single licence can sit behind dozens of casino names. A player who wants to know who holds the licence for a site can search its domain on the Commission's public register, which names the licensee and the account number.
25 remote casino licences ended since January 2025
Since 1 January 2025, 25 remote casino licences have ended on the register: 13 in 2025 and 12 so far in 2026. 23 were surrendered by the licensee and 2 were revoked by the Commission.
Method
BestCasinoPortal downloaded the public register files from the Gambling Commission on 20 October 2026. A business counts as active when it holds a remote licence for casino with the status Active. Domains are the register's domain list for those businesses, excluding domains marked inactive; a domain can serve any activity the business is licensed for. A licence counts as ended when its status is no longer Active or Pending and its end date falls on or after 1 January 2025. The counts change as the register updates.
