New real money slots to play with the DraftKings Casino bonus this weekend - MLive.com

DraftKings Casino has rolled out a weekend welcome offer of up to 1,000 Flex Spins on real money slots for new Michigan players. That said, and the flexible format is what makes it worth a look. You don't need a promo code. You wager $5 in cash, then pick from over 100 eligible slots. For anyone weighing a first deposit, it's a low-cost way to test a casino floor.

What are Flex Spins, and why do they matter for real money slots?

Flex Spins are a batch-based free spin bonus that lets you choose your own real money slots instead of locking you to one game. DraftKings Casino releases 1,000 Flex Spins in batches of 50 per day for 20 days. Each day you pick a game from more than 100 eligible slots, and you get 24 hours to play that batch. Winnings from the spins are yours to keep as cash.

That flexibility is the draw. Most free spin promos tie you to a single title, which is dull if the game doesn't suit you. Here you can move around the lobby day to day. We like that for testing a casino's slot range before committing real cash.

Which new real money slots should you play this weekend?

Three new titles stand out for the weekend, and Cash Eruption Big Bank Breakout carries the highest average RTP of the trio. That's the one we'd point a cautious player toward first. Here's the quick rundown:

• Huff N' Puff Money Mansion (5x3 grid): land six or more Hard Hat or Construction Pig symbols for 6 free spins. A Brickhouse revealing a Bonus triggers the Money Mansion Feature, with four jackpots and multipliers from 5x to 4,000x.
• Cash Eruption Big Bank Breakout (IGT): six or more Vault Scatters start the Cash Eruption Bonus with 3 respins. Vault symbols lock and reset the counter. Fill all 15 positions for the Grand Prize at 2,500x.
• Whitney Houston: six or more Record symbols trigger the Whitney Respins Bonus, also starting at 3 respins. Fifteen Record symbols lands the Grand jackpot at 1,750x, and a Wheel Bonus offers 10, 15 or 20 free spins.

How should smart players use the bonus?

Check the in-game information tab for each slot's RTP before you spin, and aim for games at 96% or above. RTP is a long-run average, so it won't predict a single session, but it's the honest number to compare. Cash Eruption Big Bank Breakout leads the three on that measure.

Set a budget before you claim anything. The $5 wagering requirement is small, yet the spins still carry real risk once you're playing. One more thing: this is a Michigan offer, so check the licensing and terms that apply where you play. If gambling stops being fun, BeGambleAware.org offers free, confidential support.

The bottom line for players

The DraftKings Flex Spins offer is a genuine low-cost entry point for new Michigan players. That said, and the freedom to pick from over 100 real money slots beats a single-game spin bonus. Smart players will claim it, stick to slots at 96% RTP or higher, and set a deposit limit first. If you're not in Michigan or you're chasing losses, skip it.
