Tanked

Tanked is a Nolimit City online slot, and we played it as a free demo with no real money on the line. The studio's house style shows up fast: dark humour, heavy metal energy, bonus mechanics stacked on top of each other. This Tanked slot review covers how it plays, the specs we can actually confirm, and whether it's worth your time in demo mode. One thing up front. The published RTP is 96.04%, which sits above the 96% mark plenty of players treat as a rough benchmark. Volatility is high. Max win is 25,000x your stake. Those three numbers tell you most of what matters before you spin.

Tanked theme, look and mechanics

The theme is war. Warlords, tanks, explosions, and a scoreboard tracking the damage. Nolimit City leans into it hard, and the art matches the studio's other releases rather than chasing a glossy, generic look. Played their back catalogue before? You'll feel at home within a few spins.

The grid runs on 6 reels. Past that, our sources don't list the exact row count or the number of ways to win, so we won't guess. What we can say is that the bonus features carry the weight. Feature names that show up across coverage include xLoot, Tank Boosters, xBomb, Barrel Bomb, xNudge Wild, xSplit, and grid expansion. There's a kill count too, which ties straight into the warlord theme.

Two bonus rounds get mentioned repeatedly: Mayhem Spins and Carnage Spins. Those are the free spins modes, and they're where the bigger multipliers tend to land. In Nolimit games, multipliers usually stack into one overall multiplier rather than sitting separately. The exact behaviour in Tanked isn't something our sources spell out, so watch for it yourself in the demo.

What sets it apart from similar slots? Feature density. Plenty of high-volatility games hand you one bonus and call it a day. This one layers wilds, bombs, and boosters so a single spin can fire several effects at once. That's the Nolimit signature, and it's why their slots get talked about.

RTP, volatility and what to expect

The published RTP is 96.04%. Hold onto that number, because it's the only return figure we can state with confidence. Want the longer explanation of what RTP actually measures? Our guide to slot RTP and volatility explained covers it properly.

Volatility is high, confirmed across multiple sources. In practice, that means long dry spells broken up by big hits. You can burn through 50 spins and see almost nothing, then land something that turns the session around. High volatility isn't better or worse than low volatility. It's a different shape of risk, and it suits players who can handle the swings.

Max win is 25,000x your stake. On a £1 spin that's a theoretical £25,000, though reaching it takes an extreme run. Don't plan around it.

One question readers keep asking: do the multipliers add together? Our sources don't confirm the maths, so we won't invent an answer. Watch the multiplier display during Mayhem Spins or Carnage Spins and you'll see how it behaves.

The other common question is what happens when a warlord loses all three lives. That mechanic exists, but the specifics aren't in our sources either, so we're leaving it alone rather than making something up.

Playing the Tanked free demo

The demo runs in your browser. No signup, no card, no deposit. You get a balance of fake credits and the full game, features included. That's the whole point of free casino games: learn the mechanics without paying for the lesson.

Give it 10 to 15 minutes. That's roughly 20 to 30 spins at a normal pace, enough to feel the volatility and see whether the bonus rounds actually trigger. Don't judge it on five spins. High-volatility slots look dead over short samples, and this one is no exception.

A few honest pointers from our own demo sessions. Watch the kill count and the grid expansion, because they change the board in ways that matter and you'll miss it if you're only watching the reels. Trigger the bonus rounds at least twice before you form an opinion. One bonus tells you nothing. And treat the fake balance like real money. Bet sizing habits carry over, so it's better to build them here than at a real table.

Move to real play later and you'll be dealing with a UKGC-licensed operator, which means GBP deposits and withdrawals, plus tools like deposit limits and GamStop. Our page on responsible gambling tools explains how those work.

Should you play Tanked?

Play it if you like high-volatility slots with dense bonus mechanics and you enjoy Nolimit City's style. The 96.04% RTP is fair, the 25,000x max win gives the session a ceiling worth chasing, and the feature list keeps things interesting across a long run. Fans of the studio's other releases will slot straight in.

Skip it if you want steady, frequent wins. High volatility means patience, and if a 30-spin cold streak ruins your mood, this isn't the game for you. Skip it too if you want something simple. Tanked throws a lot of mechanics at you at once. That's a feature, not a bug, but it isn't for everyone.

For 2026, it holds up well against the rest of the high-volatility field. Worth 15 minutes of demo time before you decide anything. Want to compare it against other options first? Our best online casinos page is a sensible next stop, and how we rate games and casinos explains what we look for.
