Space Wars 2™ Powerpoints™

Space Wars 2™ Powerpoints™ is NetEnt's follow-up to its long-running space shooter series. It trades the original's simple grid for something far more explosive. You get 6 reels, a published RTP of 96.1%, and a top prize of 10,000x your stake. Pure arcade sci-fi runs through the whole thing: neon ships, laser fire, and a battlefield that reacts every time you spin. This Space Wars 2 Powerpoints slot review covers how it plays, what the features actually do, and whether the free demo is worth your time in 2026.

Space Wars 2™ Powerpoints™ theme, look and mechanics

NetEnt built its name on polished, fast-moving slots, and this one keeps that house style. Six reels carry the action. Rather than fixed paylines, the game leans on an avalanche-style mechanic. Winning symbols clear, new ones drop in, and that chain reaction is where the drama lives.

Powerpoints are the headline idea. A scatter only matters when it lands. This game tracks points you collect as you play instead. Those points feed the bigger features, so early spins build toward something. Most slots lack that sense of progress. Here, the base game has it.

Then come the blaster tools. The Column Blaster and Row Blaster clear symbols across a full column or row. The Zapper hits individual positions. Clearing a block of the grid falls to the Bomb symbol. A Wild and a Multiplier Wild can land too, and when these tools overlap you get Combos. Big numbers come from there.

Feature symbols sit on the reels alongside the regular ones, and the whole thing plays like a small puzzle. You're not just hoping for a line. Watch for the moment a blaster lands next to a cluster. It's busy, and it rewards attention.

RTP, volatility and what to expect

The published RTP is 96.1%, which sits right around the industry average. Over millions of spins, that number tells you what the game pays back. It says nothing about what you'll see in a session. Treat it as a long-run figure, nothing more. Want the full breakdown of how these numbers work? Our guide on slot RTP and volatility explained covers it.

Volatility here's high. Two independent sources confirm that, and it matches the design. Fewer wins land, but the wins that do can be large. The max win is 10,000x your stake, so a £1 spin could theoretically return £10,000. Don't count on it. Long dry spells are the trade-off for that ceiling.

What pulls the volatility together? The Powerpoints and blaster features. They fire often enough to keep the base game moving, but the real money moments come from Combos and the free spins round. If you like slots that feel eventful rather than steady, this fits. Frequent small returns? Look elsewhere.

Playing the Space Wars 2™ Powerpoints™ free demo

The demo runs in your browser with no signup and no deposit. You get a virtual balance, and every spin uses play money. Nothing you win or lose here touches your bank. Learning the Powerpoints system this way costs you nothing.

Give it a proper session. Ten to fifteen minutes is enough to see the blaster tools fire and understand how Combos build. I'd suggest 20 to 30 spins before you judge it, because the feature symbols don't always show up early. A short run can make the game look duller than it's.

Three things are worth watching while you play. First, how often the Column Blaster and Row Blaster land. Second, how the Powerpoints meter fills. Third, how the free spins round triggers. Those three tell you more about the game than any single spin.

If you move to real money later, play at a site that holds a UKGC licence. That gives you GBP deposits and withdrawals, plus GamStop and other responsible gambling tools. None of that applies to the demo, but it matters the moment real cash is involved. Our how we rate games and casinos page explains what we check.

Should you play Space Wars 2™ Powerpoints™?

Yes, if you want a slot with real moving parts. The Powerpoints system, the blaster symbols, and the Combos give you something to track on every spin. NetEnt fans who liked the original will find plenty that's new here, and the 10,000x ceiling gives the high-volatility chase a target.

Skip it if you prefer simple, low-variance play. Patience is mandatory with volatility this high, and the busy screen won't suit everyone. Players who want steady small wins should look elsewhere.

The free demo is the honest test. Spend 15 minutes with it, run those 20 to 30 spins, and you'll know whether the mechanics click for you. For a fuller picture of what's out there, browse our free casino games hub. The demo costs nothing, so there's no reason not to try before you decide.
