Rasputin Megaways™

Rasputin Megaways™ is a high-volatility online slot from Big Time Gaming, reviewed here as a free-play demo with no real money involved. The theme leans on the Russian mystic Grigori Rasputin, and the studio's Megaways engine does the heavy lifting. Published RTP sits at 96.68%. If you've read a Rasputin Megaways™ slot review before, you'll know the pitch: big ways to win, a wild, and free spins.

This one runs on 6 reels with 1,000,000 ways to win. That's the headline number, and it's a big part of why the game gets attention.

Rasputin Megaways™ theme, look and mechanics

The setting is Imperial Russia. Expect icy palettes, ornate frames, and a Rasputin character who anchors the whole thing. Big Time Gaming built its name on the Megaways format, and this slot wears that DNA openly. The engine changes the number of symbols on each reel with every spin, so the ways to win shift constantly rather than sitting at a fixed count.

Six reels, up to 1,000,000 ways. That combination is the core of the game. The Rasputin Wild is a named feature in the slot, and it plays a role in how winning lines come together. Free spins form the main bonus round, and there's a Win Exchange option plus a Bonus Buy for players who want to skip straight to the feature.

An extending reels mechanic shows up too, which ties into how the base game builds toward bigger moments. We tested the demo across a few hundred spins to see how often the base game produced anything meaningful. It's streaky. Long quiet stretches, then a burst.

The base game matters more here than in some Megaways titles. That's worth knowing before you commit time to it.

RTP, volatility and what to expect

The published RTP is 96.68%. That's above the 96% mark many players use as a rough benchmark, and it's a genuine plus for the game. If you want the full picture on how these numbers work, our guide to slot RTP and volatility explained breaks it down properly.

Volatility is high. In practice that means fewer wins, and the wins you do get tend to be larger when they land. Your balance can drop fast during a cold run. The free spins round is where most of the real upside lives, so patience is part of the deal.

We can't quote a max win figure here because it isn't listed in our sources. Same goes for the release year. If a review states either without a source, treat it with caution.

What we can say: high volatility plus a strong RTP plus a million ways to win is a combination built for players who accept swings. If you want steady small returns, this isn't the slot for you.

Playing the Rasputin Megaways™ free demo

The demo loads in your browser. No signup, no deposit, no card details. You get a virtual balance and the full game, including the bonus round and the Bonus Buy, so you can see how the features actually behave before spending anything.

Give it 10 to 15 minutes. That's roughly 20 to 30 spins at a normal pace, which is enough to feel the volatility without burning an afternoon. Judge the game on that sample, not on three spins.

A few honest pointers from our checks. Watch how often the extending reels trigger in the base game. Note how the wild behaves when it lands. Then trigger the free spins at least once, because that round tells you more about the game than any base-game session will.

If you move to real money later, the same game plays the same way. The demo isn't a softened version. It's the real thing with fake credits. Browse our free casino games section for more demos in the same format.

Should you play Rasputin Megaways™?

Play it if you like Megaways slots and you're comfortable with high volatility. The 96.68% RTP is a real draw, the 1,000,000 ways to win give the base game life, and the free spins round carries genuine potential. Big Time Gaming knows this format better than almost anyone, and it shows.

Skip it if you want frequent small wins or you're working with a tight bankroll. High volatility will punish impatience. Skip it too if you need a confirmed max win figure before you commit. That number isn't in our sources, so we won't guess at it.

For UK players, the demo needs no age check because no money changes hands. Real-money play is 18+ and requires age verification. Deposits and withdrawals run in GBP at UK-licensed casinos, and you can use tools like deposit limits and time-outs, or responsible gambling tools such as GamStop if you need a break.
